Upload your site investigation report, share your foundation plan, and describe what you need in your own words. The Geotechnical Agent defines materials, creates boreholes, models foundations, runs analyses, improves the design and prepares your geotechnical report. You spend your time on engineering decisions.

Approach
The Geotechnical Agent is not a chat window bolted onto SETAF. It operates the program the way an engineer does, through the actual forms and buttons.
The practical consequence is that SETAF’s validation and calculation logic stays in the loop. The agent takes no shortcuts and writes no data through a back door. You see every action in real time.
End to end
A single request starts the whole workflow. In multi-step tasks the agent moves to the next step on its own, checking the actual result of each step before it continues.
The agent works on the foundation engineering side.
Capabilities
01
It reviews your report (PDF, Word or text) with an engineer’s eye.
02
The agent does not just run analyses. It interprets the results and improves the design.
Analyses available
If a criterion is not met, it revises the foundation dimensions, base elevation, foundation type or rigid column/pile layout. It re-runs the affected analyses and repeats the cycle until every criterion is satisfied, then summarizes the selected design, the key results with units, and the reasoning behind each revision.
03
Your analysis results become a professional report.
It creates excavation, parcel or general geotechnical report templates. It adds, names and orders sections and controls the page layout. It writes explanatory engineering text, places analysis tables and charts from the report pool into the right sections, and adjusts image sizes and text formatting.
It also corrects and updates an existing report based on your instructions.
04
Share your site or foundation plan as DWG, DXF, PNG or JPG.
The agent tells foundation outlines apart from openings, axes, columns and plot boundaries. It determines the drawing unit from dimension texts, file metadata or the order of magnitude; when it estimates, it says so and explains why, and when uncertainty is high it asks you first.
It never invents dimensions from images. It uses only written dimensions or known reference lengths.
05
Just say idealize the boreholes.
The agent groups boreholes by location and also by the similarity of their layer profiles, soil types and material parameters, then builds one representative borehole and layering per group.
It does not use a naive arithmetic average. It filters outliers and relies on the dominant soil type.
06
The agent sets up units and localization at the start of every task. It follows your preference, the units used in your report (kPa, kN/m³ or psf, pcf, ft), or the default SI settings.
Every numeric value is converted to the program’s active units before it is entered, which removes the risk of entering values at the wrong magnitude.
Trust
You see every action in real time.
If a command package fails, the agent stops and restores the model to its previous state. Your project is never left half-modified.
When the job is done, the agent re-reads the model to check the entered values.
The agent prepares the design; the engineer approves, changes and signs it.
Usage
No commands to memorize. Write your request in English or Turkish.
For power users, the built-in Terminal runs independently of the main application and accepts commands even while the program is busy. Multiple commands can be chained on a single line.
Pricing
The Geotechnical Agent installs with SETAF2018. To run it you buy a usage balance; the balance goes down as you use it and the remainder is always visible inside the software. No subscription.
A SETAF2018 licence is required. To buy an AI package and run the Geotechnical Agent you must hold a valid SETAF2018 licence.
FAQ
It is an AI-powered geotechnical agent built into SETAF2018. It reads the site investigation report, builds the soil model, defines foundations, runs analyses, improves the design and prepares the geotechnical report.
The foundation engineering side. The soil model, shallow and deep foundations, settlement, consolidation, liquefaction and the geotechnical report fall within its scope.
No. SETAF performs the calculations. The agent operates the program on your behalf: it fills the forms, presses the buttons and starts the analyses. SETAF’s validation and calculation logic is never bypassed.
Yes. Every action appears on screen in real time. When the job is finished, the agent re-reads the model to verify the entered values and summarizes the revisions it made with the reasoning behind them.
The agent stops and restores the model to its previous state, so no half-finished change is left in the project. Every error is recorded in detail.
Bearing capacity for shallow and deep foundations, settlement and differential settlement, settlement–time (consolidation), liquefaction analysis, and material result evaluation for DSM foundations.
Site investigation reports as PDF, Word or text; site and foundation plans as DWG, DXF, PNG or JPG.
Yes. You can write your request in either English or Turkish.
Yes. It supports metric and US customary units, and sets them from your preference, the units in your report, or the default SI settings.
